SCH have launched an annual programme of core online training modules for co-ops, in partnership with Brighton and Hove Community Land Trust (BHCLT). With the high turnover of members in student housing co-ops, both organisations came together to discuss ways to improve the ongoing challenge of knowledge transfer. We identified that a bespoke training programme specifically targeted to those smaller co-ops with fewer members could help to better prepare members to run their co-ops more effectively. We also recognised the opportunity to facilitate additional peer to peer support and idea sharing between our user members.
